Why are our LM microscope adapter solutions so expensive?

Our high-end adapter solutions are designed for professional use. They deliver superior image and video quality and are typically used for applications where only the best image quality and adaptability will do.

Our microscope adapter solutions are engineered for high-performance research microscopes in combination with the latest in digital camera technology. They are used in sectors demanding the highest standards of visual precision. These brand-name microscopes often carry price tags upwards of € 20,000, with top-tier plan achromatic objective lenses usually exceeding € 2,000 each.

To meet these high expectations, we incorporate premium precision optics in our adapter solutions. The lenses used in our adapters have an extra-large diameter and therefore deliver excellent optical performance, even in low-light conditions. 

Our adapter systems feature a modular build and a sturdy, mechanically robust design, and are therefore also capable of bearing the weight of heavier camera setups. Additionally, they offer focusing capabilities for seamless optical alignment of the image viewed through the eyepiece with that of the camera.

Thanks to our modular system, the basic adapter can be used across various microscopes. In the “Pro” adapter series, the basic adapter is compatible with both the eyepiece and the phototube of the microscope.

If you want to use the adapter on multiple microscopes or plan to switch to a different microscope brand (Zeiss, Nikon, Olympus, Motic,...) in the future, you can use the adapter solution you purchased – with some accessory parts – on those models as well.

If you’re looking to purchase a new microscope or new objective lenses, our advice is to opt for brand-name microscopes and components (Nikon, Zeiss, Olympus, Leica,...). The superior quality of trusted brands, particularly in photographic applications, becomes very obvious when compared to less premium alternatives.
