Put to the test: Canon EOS DSLR cameras and their performance when used with microscope

In the past months, Canon has introduced some new DSLR cameras to the EOS family. We took a closer look at the EOS 77D, EOS 200D and EOS 800D models, as well as the unbeatably priced EOS 1300D . All of these cameras have a high-grade, light-sensitive APS-C sensor. Despite the lower/mid-tier price bracket (between EUR 300.00 and EUR 600.00), they are very well suited for microscopy applications. Remote control  works with Canon's EOS Utility software, and an app for remote control via smartphone or tablet (WLAN/Wi-Fi connection) is also available. In addition, the EOS 77D, 200D and 800D feature a fully articulated screen.

We also carry suitable battery adapters to add larger battery capacity for microscope applications. This is particularly important for prolonged shooting, for example in a studio or laboratory setting.

We can offer you optimal adapter solutions for a wide variety of microscopes and cameras. Of course, we would also be happy to help you select an adapter solution that is optimally tailored to your customer’s needs.
